MSNBC reporting that Bush's talks with al-Maliki have been postponed
until tomorrow.

Also up on CNN.com

It was supposed to be today. I wonder what's going on?

2. Maliki realized Al-Sadr means business
Without Al-Sadr's backing, Maliki is toast.

5. 'what's going on?' Sadr threatened his life and Hadley insulted his manhood
The question should be WHY would he go to such a meeting.

He has NOTHING to gain. This meeting is for Bush's benefit only, to appear as if he is doing something to help.

Maliki would only lose any credibility he may have, would likely have family members killed while he was at the meeting and would likely have an attempt on his life upon his return. IF he survived all of that, Sadr would force him out.

Maliki's puppet strings are controlled by Sadr, not the US.
