2. They were hyping him in '00 but he didn't run--and then serving as
Bush's SOS and being part of the Iraq lies wouldn't help. Same with Condi if she ever decided to run.

3. He would be my dream GOP candidate
http://www.thenation.com/blogs/capitalgames?pid=1442

"Appearing on Meet the Press, Powell acknowledged--finally!--that he and the Bush administration misled the nation about the WMD threat posed by Iraq before the war. Specifically, he said that he was wrong when he appeared before the UN Security Council on February 5, 2003, and alleged that Iraq had developed mobile laboratories to produce biological weapons. That was one of the more dramatic claims he and the administration used to justify the invasion of Iraq."

4. Would My Lai come back to haunt him?
He's a decent sort, but a bit too much of a loyalist. Still, he'd be a Republican I could stand.

6. Is only a military yes man, not a statesman. And a liar who put his interests above the country's.
Guess he'll make a perfect president repug style.

9. It's currently safe to "question" the Pres ... don't trust him ...
he had his chance to serve under Clinton, refused ... but came skipping back to do Bush43's dirty work ... knowing that the lines he fed the U.N. (for over 2 hours) were BULLSHIT ...
