It shall be unpleasant to watch as they exact revenge from the Sunnis after we get our asses kicked out. Nonetheless, it appears to be their fight and not ours, so I say: Hope the bloodletting ends soon

The Ayatollah Khomeini, while nasty, was far better than Mr. Hussein was. And I'm guessing that Mr. al-Sadr will pattern himself after Mr. Khomeini. And while Saddam had to terrify and subdue the majority Shi'a, al-Sadr has the much easier task of terrifying and subduing the minority Sunni.

Saddam had a bigger army and more time to kill people. If Sadr comes to full power he will slaughter the Sunnis as Saddam slaughtered the Shiites.
