8. Apparently Danny was out partying with George Clooney and was tipsy
on the View. They had to do a lot of beeping.

21. I've got 13 channels and two of em are fundie shit
Tried to have them blocked but only got a chuckle out of the customer service rep. I said as a concerned consumer I really think vulgar filth such as Robertson shouldn't be allowed to invade my home.

Anyways I think I should have ABC....

19. Pretty funny, actually.
It looks like Danny pulled an all-nighter and didn't try to sober up until a 1/2 or so before the show. He was a tad incoherent, but I think I'd have to be properly lubed to be on that show, too.

40. depends on the profession, don't you think?
If he were a minister or a recovery counselor for alcoholics, yeah, it probably would have been.

As an entertainer, the rules are somewhat different: his job is to keep an audience entertained.

Seems like he did that, one way or another.

"...Numbnuts."
"That's President Numbnuts."

And, if I had a choice between partying all night with George Clooney and then having to go on National TV still drunk, or skipping the party with George and showing up on National TV stone-cold sober, well...

Let's just say I'll drink with George Clooney anytime, anywhere. :)

31. Here's an update from The Guardian: DeVito vetoed
(I don't really like how this writer portrayed the appearance, but it does have a bunch of good info.)

4pm

DeVito vetoed

A US chatshow resorts to bleeps after a tipsy Danny DeVito lays into George Bush

Ed Pilkington in New York
Thursday November 30, 2006
Guardian Unlimited

...The film star walked shakily onto the set of the daytime chat show The View yesterday, visibly under the influence despite the fact that it was only 11am. He put it down to an all-night bender with George Clooney, fuelled by copious amounts of an Italian lemon liqueur. "I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me," he said.

As soon as DeVito sat down on set, his host, Rosie O'Donnell, sensed something was up. "Have you been to sleep yet?" she asked.

"I don't know," he replied.

Then he launched into a rant about George Bush, complaining he hadn't been invited to stay at the White House since he had taken the presidency. ABC bleeped out DeVito's description of Mr Bush, but the New York Post lip-read it as: "numb nuts".

The film star, who was publicising his new movie, Deck the Halls, went on to portray the president as a monkey, a dribbling oaf and as one of the Three Stooges, and baited him over the Democrats' recent electoral victory. "What about that hat trick last week! {The resignation of} Rumsfeld, the House and the Senate - ta-da! I took my clothes off...."

32. DeVito does a Three Stooges sctick on Georgie and the real Stooges go bananas????
How anyone can look at the video or after actually having seen the show can call Danny anything other than the comedian that he is, is laughable in itself. Sure he looked like he was up all night with close friends and as stated downing a few, yet he was not slurring his words, he was not falling off the pile of bricks they call a couch.

Can anyone imagine Hannity, O'Reilly, Scarborough, Buchanan, etc.,etc., etc., actually watching The View? They talk about the content of the show and what "they," say the show is supposed to be about......they are they deciders about what women should be talking/debating????? They attack Rosie's performance yet surprisingly Rosie in most instances has tended to be the peacemaker.

These assholes can't report actual events or news so when a DeVito incident happens, they are like addicts on speed.

More than it's ever needed it before.

It's like the Ghost of McCarthy only PC STYLE is INSTALLED in so many people, that they all start pointing and screaming like POD People, instead of saying, "yeah, you know what? HE'S RIGHT.. Let's go have a DRINK with THAT GUY, I LIKE HIM.."

Need more Irish in there, mixing it up, along with Italians who say WHAT THEY MEAN..

I WORSHIP Honesty, it's the path to enlightenment for us ALL, and he's NO MEAN DRUNK, Those need to be in Rehab, pure and simple.

TELL IT LIKE IT IS DANNY, I'll buy the NexT ten ROUNDS :)
