Bigots of Hollywood UNITE!!
I saw this while tooling around the web...good grief.

Mel Gibson Feels Michael Richards' Pain

NEW YORK (AP) -- Though he's lost many fans after being captured on video hurling racist epithets at a comedy club audience, Michael Richards has an ally: Mel Gibson. "I felt like sending Michael Richards a note," Gibson says in an interview in Entertainment Weekly's Dec. 8 issue.

"I feel really badly for the guy. He was obviously in a state of stress. You don't need to be inebriated to be bent out of shape. But my heart went out to the guy."

The 50-year-old actor-director added: "They'll probably torture him for a while and then let him go. I like him."

After his Nov. 17 tirade became known, Richards apologized on David Letterman's "Late Show" on CBS, saying his remarks were sparked by anger at being heckled, not bigotry. He also apologized to the Rev. Al Sharpton and on the Rev. Jesse Jackson's syndicated radio program.

2. His heart went out to the guy?
I haven't seen any of the tapes, just heard bits and pieces here and there. Tempest in a tea pot describes my POV. Racism is wrong, of course. Calling people names is immature and wrong. Being sh*tfaced does not naturally lead one to hurl racist remarks. I've seen plenty of drunks, and non of them resorted to that kind of behavior. Something else going on there. We shouldn't be surprised if some Hollywood types haven't learned tolerance and acceptance yet. They are part of the general population after all.

10. I am in a puckish mood...
I can think of some really funny things, but I am afraid some here would take it the wrong way, so I will stick with two things..

The meeting would involve a discussion on the Zionist controlled media and how they are damaging good actors who "stumble onto an incident." I am sure it would also involve a monologue from "Kramer" on "Black Jews: the real threat (bonus if they are gay)."

So said Richards.

And Gibson's "heart went out to him"??????? Nuff said.

In the back of the bus? HELL NO! Girl, you and I will kick the driver to the curb and take that bus on a freedom tour...filled with hot lovelies, song, and truth! We won't be "Thelma and Louise," we will be "The Eternal Aegis of Bliss" (or "The Eternal Behind of Bliss and Aegis" and we get to choose who kneels at our "alter!").

I told you I was feeling "" tonight!

Even better, we can sit in the Big Easy and coordinate the efforts of others whilst sipping on cocktails and being fanned by hunky men and filming our show. As for kicking the shit out of O'Reilly's show, a commentary show featuring the Tele-tubbies could do that, I'd like to aim higher. :)

As if Michael Richards didn't dig a big enough hole, Mel Gibson shows up to help shovel.

Maybe they can do a "Bigots R Us" road show together. I hear the Blue Collar Comedy Crew needs an opening act.

does not exist in this country.
if it did more people would say much more daily.
im not really sure if its better or worse that way.
if i stretch it out over a long period of time though, its so very much worse.

I would never say some of the crap I've heard these two say. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with it. I just don't think that way.

...being able to call those "...ideals and perspectives you may NOT want to hear..." repugnant, vile, crass, and unacceptable in a society that should value equality of ALL people...but then that is just my idea of freedom of speech.

28. wrong ideals and freedom to say them or debate them

do not coincide

right/wrong is all perspective
normal/irrational is all perspective

there is no definite when it comes to perspective
the authors of the constitution were smart enough to realize this

people still allow themselves to be exploited on one side or the other though.

I will agree with that, in part. However, they were also wise enough to know there are some things that cannot be said. I will also say, your post really didn't make much sense. I couldn't follow what you were trying to say.

42. Your writing style is awkward and difficult to understand.
There are things that cannot be said in certain places, on certain issues, for good reasons. That is not a difficult concept. One cannot run around saying anything and everything one wants, it doesn't mean s/he doesn't have freedom of speech, it simply means it is limited. You seem to think that freedom of speech means one can say whatever, whenever, to whomever.

33. I understand it perfectly
I didn't say they had no right to say what they did.

I said I would never say it because I don't think that way, not because of freedom of speech.

Your post implied true freedom of speech would result in more of that kind of talk.
My post let you know it's not freedom of speech that keeps me from saying it.

its the people with money who get attention for saying such things?
does anyone care about the average joe six pack racist or bigot??
how many of them do you think exist in this country?

which party do you think they identify more with?
im not saying it should be a goal of any party to target them, but thats exactly whats happening.
they wrap it all around blessed freedom.

religion vs religion

Edited on Thu Nov-30-06 03:09 AM by selfdestructive
but the law states that any person can say whatever they like.
if enough people support it and it goes to vote and is voted in, it becomes law.

it's supposed to be dynamic and dependent upon the constituents (at least statewide/locally).

edit:
the thing about this is every single minority seems to understand this is how it works....
why do you think they seek to exploit the system in an attempt to become a MAJORITY.
i don't care what race, creed, color, religion, etc...
they all seem to understand this on a very fundamental level.
