What makes Obama an interesting candidate
Is that he is where most americans are on most issues.

Call it the the sensible center if you like, the truth is he is a majoritarian-populist. For the majority of Americans, tired of appeals to the right or the left that is very refreshing.

The challenge he is going to face is that he is going to have to rally the disenchanted to the polls. My honest impression is that because he is a going to be successful largely due to charisma, intellect and articulation. I just don't know how that translates into governance.

Might work...might not. He could alter presidential politics for a generation or he could be a total bust.

1. I like Jim Webb better....stand up and not mooch around
Obama seems too authority-pleasing to me, a bit limp. I want someone with more punch but that's me.
