Countering "the adults are in charge"

You've heard this before. No doubt you can see it for what it is: a desperate attempt at name-calling from a party with no accomplishments. This needs to be smacked down early and often. Fortunately, it's so ridiculous on its face that it's easy to do.

Next time you're on Hardball or Scarborough and hear that, just laugh and say, with derision:

The adults?! You mean the ones who ran up daddy's credit card, refused to do their homework, and enlisted other people to do their chores? THOSE are ADULTS?!?

You see where I'm going. There's a lot we can do with this. Write your own! Please construct them in the form of a threefer. :-)

The Republicans in charge are definitely not the ones acting like adults. That they would pretend to be is just another one of their Orwellian things.
