Is this cartoon representative of the Dems?
Sometimes I think so. I hope they prove me wrong.

I can see the conservatives in the party saying stuff like that
right now!

Conservatives are the problem, never the solution. Their best place is out of power.

5. I agree
How many posts do we see about "not doing that" because it will just cause a backlash in '08.

6. Every time a Dem speaks out forcefully against Bushinc look who tries to stifle them...

Kerry, Feingold, Dean and now Webb, all have gotten the icy treatment from the official leaders when they do something forceful and aggressive - I hope they form their own wolfpack to get each others' backs

9. Hey! They haven't even banged a gavel yet. Give them some slack man.
some of you seem to think that they can just shovel all the shit out the door the week after they are elected. Some of you'd probably complain if they didn't do it all in the first week of the new session in January. Progress takes time and plenty of discussion to hopefully get it right. There's plenty of time for criticism after they've done something. OK? OK!

1. That seems about right
and no matter what people say about Ted Rall, I think he's brilliant.

8. Canadian Provinces?
Probably everything in the Caribbean (incl. Cuba).

Would that be approaching 28?

3. Thank you for your concern.
Let me know when you have evidence that is not a cartoon.

4. There is some historical data to at least suppose this might happen
I refer you to "keeping the powder dry" when Satan was nominated to the Supreme Court.

7. Well, there are some dems who still support the Bush Torture act
Remember that it did not pass along straight party lines. A significant number of represenatatives and senators voted for it. And many of those were not in close races or even up for re-election. The key is going to be if the Democratic party leadership can or will fight to repeal that travesty. We shall see...

Ted Rall does not pull punches for either party. Much like Mr. Fish, he is pretty disgusted with how members of both parties have voted. If one wants a "rah rah" toon artist there are others....
