Michael Savage, "We have to fight the liberal vermin." Last night on his show.

Michael was ranting about liberals as usual but last night he was really off the page. He said the biggest problem in the country are liberals and that we have to fight the liberal vermin. He went on about colleges and that they did not allow conservatives to speak.

My point is that in Nazi Germany they said the same thing about Jews. It was a way of getting the public to blame the Jews for everything and resulted in the Holocaust.

My question is, how far does a talk show host go before he does what Nazis did in Germany? Should Savage not be called on his speech in the MSM?

Do we want more division in this country?

I do not understand the appeal of it, except that many get off on hearing some one say on the air what they would like to say publicly but realize that no one would give a shit if they did! maybe it makes their opinion sound more important coming out of a radio. if conditions turn for the worse over the next decade or so (war in Iran, economic depression, global warming crop failure catastrophe, etc.) his ilk will have a more receptive audience, looking for a leader. About 30% of our population is "authoritiarian followers" as John Dean would put it. That's all it took for the Nazis to rise to power on the heels of their greater economic depression. I'm glad we can now check the worst of these impulses within the Bush administration itself, but in the long term the threat of a popular home-grown fascism within the US may only grow.
