Faux News won't call Iraq a civil war because: "non-Iraqis in the fray"

<snip>

MOODY STATEMENT: Some are using the term to indicate failure, not inside Iraq, but of U.S. policy in Iraq. We're unwilling to fall into that tender trap. We're not using the term because there are non-Iraqis in the fray, and that makes it something different.

1. "Non-Iraqis" are US Soldiers
Gee, I wonder why they are "in the fray"?

8. Hallooo Fox - knock knock - anybody home?
Then I don't ever want to hear you refer to the American Civil War as a CIVIL WAR because Native Americans and some French and British nationals fought for both the North and the South. Not to mention northern black troops who weren't citizens, which made them NON-Americans.
Whatduh say NOW Fox huh? huh?

14. Add 40,000 to 60,000 Canadians. And you're right about the ...
...thousands of black soldiers who fought and died in the American Civil War. As I pointed out (before I saw your post), they were, by definition, foreigners, until the 14th Amendment was ratified, in 1868.

11. Many non-citizen immigrants fought in our Civil War and something like 50,000...
...Canadians came south to participate, as well.

FuckSnooze is populated by pompous idiots.

Personally, I see the Fox "News" presence as a minor annoyance....sort of like a mosquito bite on the behind of America.

Is anyone really buying their crap anymore??

...foreigners, at the time of the American Civil War, in which they fought and died, in great numbers. Has anybody pointed that out to the asshats at FuckSnooze?

12. KO is going to have a field day with this.
Faux's skeleton's aren't in the closet, they're out on parade! Nobody with an IQ high enough to tie their own shoes believes Faux is "Fair and Balanced" anymore.

Waitaminute... Isn't this the same Moody who wrote that infamous leaked memo a couple of weeks ago? Now that I think of it, should anyone be surprised at this?

13. I suppose Spain never had a civil war
Given how many non-Spaniards fought on both sides of the conflict. For that matter, we had English, Mexicans, Canadians and French fighting in the US war between the states; I suppose that means we didn't have a Civil War, either. :eyes:
