1. 7pm answer
Q;What other recommendations would you make to the incoming Congress in January?

A: To preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States as our current occupant of the White House seems incapable of doing so.

2. Answers for cube rats:
Yes, it can, but it will take some thought and hard work, something that is absent in Washington these days. If we do not keep our rights and values, what is there to fight terror for. Scott, Wash.

First habeas corpus went kaput, now its the First Amerndment. Apparently, those who are sworn to "uphold and defend" the constitution have decided to "upend and define" it instead.

For this administration, why not just burn what's left of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and be done with it? Bush has already gotten a good start on violating the 10 commandments as well. Craig, Fla.

First of all, the notion that there is a "War on Terror" is ridiculous. Terrorism is a tactic, not an enemy. Second, this attempt at "Re-examining the First Amendment" is not intended to protect us, it is a means to control the American public with fear-mongering.
