EPA scientists to Bush: "Drop Dead and get out of our way"

This is unprecedented. The only people who cannot accept the reality of global climate change are corrupt republicon cronies who can make a buck off of oil,
like George AWOL Oil Man Bush and his Saudi kissing kronies...

EPA SCIENTISTS FILE MASS PETITION FOR ACTION ON GLOBAL WARMING
MAJORITY OF ENTIRE EPA WORKFORCE CALLS FOR REGULATION OF GREENHOUSE GASES

Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER)
November 29, 2006

http://www.peer.org/news/news_id.php?row_id=789

WASHINGTON, DC - In an unprecedented action, representatives for more than
10,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency scientists are calling on
Congress to take immediate action against global warming, according to a
petition released today by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility
(PEER). The petition also calls for an end to censorship of agency
scientists and other specialists on topics of climate change and the effects
of air pollution.

The petition stresses that time is running out to prevent cataclysmic
environmental changes induced by human-caused pollution and urges Congress
to undertake prompt actions:

"If we wait, we will be committing the next generation of Americans to
approximately double the current global warming concentrations, with the
associated adverse impacts on human health and the environment."

The filing of this petition coincides with today's oral arguments before the
U.S. Supreme Court on a case (Massachusetts v. EPA, Case No. 05-1120)
brought by states seeking to force the Bush administration to regulate
greenhouse gases that fuel global warming under the Clean Air Act.

1. just a TINY bit misleading
The purpose of quote marks is exclusively to show real, actual quotes. Not interpretations of actual quotes.

9. A lot of scientists have been saying this for several years
And every time they speak up they endanger their careers

Scientists depend on research grants - and corrupt administrations like this one use the Federal grant monies to keep researchers in line

The editor at the American Chemical Society has been saying for over a year how backward sthe Bush Adm. is

In terms of stem cells but also interms of having fake science being taught at schools (If you warp the thinking processes of young minds, they not only learn false facts, they end up unable to analyze situations later in life)

Kudos to every one of the them who dare to speak out - those at the EPA, and in every science class, and holding research positions and editorships - Kudos!

6. I watched Inconvenient Truth recently
We all need to buy and distrubute it widely. Al did a wonderful job of presenting the information in a way that ALL should understand! We owe it to him to buy, pass along and donate to libraries around the country!

11. I watched it two nights ago - Great documentary!
I just checked my local library system. They have 10 copies, but there are 110 holds on it at this point. At least people are wanting to see it.

Welcome to DU -

10. Biased scientists perpetuating global warming hoax
If they read their Bibles a little more often and spent less time on their silly "science," they wouldn't be embarassing their president. Fire them all!

Wow, channeling freepers is such fun.

13. A Question About That Warren
Why would we need to read our Bibles more often? If we read it once isn't that enough? Does it change over time?

I figured while you were channeling freepers, i'd give you chance to go into the logic-free zone for a while.
