So the Iraq study group report is probably ambiguous enough
Edited on Wed Dec-06-06 08:31 AM by shadowknows69
to give Bushie carte blanche to carry on his war until the end of his reign and not enough in congress have spine enough to do anything about it. I wonder though if the report had simply said: "No hope, get the hell out now!!!", Would we still all stand by and let "the decider" keep killing our kids and Iraqi kids? Because that's what it comes down to now kids. He's going to continue a war that everyone in the world but him and a few zealots know was a mistake and unwinnable. I wonder if we shouldn't be picketing Army bases to ask our people why they are allowing this to be done to them and would they like to help us stop it?

1. America is a very violent nation which hardly blinks at the wholesale slaughter
of brown people...What this world needs is more guns.. If everyone had a gun there would be no more violence.. Isn't that what they say?

2. Can we at least read the damned report first?
They pulled this with the 9/11 Commission report too' "Nothing to see here just move along" and there is all kinds of stuff (great starting point for your own search) in there. One thing that was very clear is that there was NOTHING done by Bush before 9/11 they stated it as nicely as they could but the evidence is there or rather the lack of any action whatsoever is evident.

Please lets read the Baker ISG report before passing on it and especially before the White House/Pentagon/State reports get mixed in.

Please.

Thank you.

3. I'm not passing on anything
I'm just saying I doubt the idiot in chief will do anything about bringing our troops home.

4. One of the most interesting quotes from the report:
"It's clear the Iraqi government will need U.S. assistance for some time to come, especially in carrying out new security responsibilities. Yet the U.S. must not make open-ended commitments to keep large numbers of troops deployed in Iraq."

Now, just what is the OPPOSITE of open-ended committment? Would that be a "time-line" or a "deadline?" Of course, this will go unreported by MSM and not even considered by bushies. The longer the US has a presence in Iraq, the better it can station the US on top of one of the remaining giant oil-reserves on Earth.
