"Nobody sang 'Kumbaya'"
(Outgoing UN Ambassador John Bolton) was also asked about a private dinner Tuesday night at the White House that Bush hosted for outgoing Secretary-General Kofi Annan which he attended.

Relations between Bolton and Annan have long been strained. On the subject, the U.S. ambassador was asked whether there was "more of a healing process" as both he and the secretary-general prepare to exit the U.N.

"Nope, nobody sang 'Kumbaya,'" Bolton replied.

When told at an evening reception about Bolton's comment, Annan laughed and asked: "But does he know how to sing it?"

God, I hope somebody with diplomatic immunity kicks Bolton in the nuts while they still have a chance.

1. The UN Ambassador should be first and
foremost a diplomat, someone who believes in the goal and mission of the UN and who is tactful and willing to compromise for the greater good.

Bolton is none of those things and his brief tenure was predictably a complete and utter embarrassment and failure.

And of course he doesn't know "Kumbaya," but he's certainly an American Idiot.
