Who among the GOP will 1st break ranks and call for IMPEACHMENT? |
|
When that day arrives, the fall of the BushCo regime will be assured.
I really don't see that possibility as wild wishful thinking; rather I envision a time soon where rethugs will see it as advantageous to question the competency of a president who willfully and completely ignores advice from all quarters. He is on the edge of madness, and the first rethug to have the courage to call it like it is will build a tremendous amount of political capital.
A few guesses:
Chuck Hagel (NE) Arlen Spector (PA) Christopher Shays (CT) - before leaving office?

I'd provide a link but all the ones I can find on first glance are censored by DU. Shit, on second and third glance I still can't find anything that DU admin finds acceptable. Just google Ron Paul impeachment to see stuff about it.

5. He made the comments on a radio show |

and DU has determined the host of the radio show to be too much of a conspiracy theorist and links to the website get deleted.

6. Representatives, not Senators. |
|
Impeachment happens in the House, so it doesn't matter whether they support impeachment. It does matter whether they will convict, if impeachment happens. That is a somewhat higher bar.
In the House... Ron Paul comes to mind. There may be others after January and the investigations start.

9. Ah yes, the devil is in the details. |
|
So many still seem to think that impeachment means removal from office. The Democrats can impeach Bush because they have the votes to do it. Their ability to do that is not in question.
