Dennis Miller is an intelligent and witty comedian. But (all my friends have a big but. - PeeWee Herman)and this is a big but, humor does not work from the conservative point of view. Liberal/Progressive humor works because it is typically the common person taking shots at power. But when power takes shots at the common person it just comes off as cruel.

This is what undid Dennis Miller. When he got scared he signed on with the Conservative powers. His jokes shifted accordingly. And they stopped being funny.

That said, I'd watch a show by Miller in which he talks about his last few years trying to cheerlead for the Worst Presidency Ever. He stopped being funny when he became dishonest. If he was honest, he might be funny again.

Incidentally, the other funny guy on the right is P.J. O'Rourke, a writer. Anybody heard from him? He appeared on Bill Maher once this season, and seemed unrepentant.
