People's interviewer also mentioned that readers had asked if he takes sleep aids. Bush said generally not, but he does occasionally when he travels.

“I must tell you, I'm sleeping a lot better than people would assume,” he said.

He said he drinks a couple of cups of coffee in the morning and drinks a lot of water and, of course, no alcohol.

“I don't drink alcohol. I can remember when I used to drink, I had trouble sleeping at night,” the President said.

It ain't always real clear to me, but I had a pony and a castle that flew through the air, up past the clouds. There was a whole bunch of little fellers who played some kind of game with sticks and balls and gloves while standing like a diamond. They came out of a hole in the ground and assembled at my feet and played--just to make me happy. They wore ten gallon hats and spandex tights. I also made holes in the ground and some dark men with beards and sunglasses gave me lots of money fer it. Pa said they was come from far-off Araby, like the wise men who adored the Baby Jesus. They said they didn't care if I ever found anything in them holes. Just seein' me digging holes in the ground made them so happy. They wanted me to be so happy and my Pa to be so happy too. I never seed that much money before. My Pa was Presbydent. Now I am Presbydent I do real serious things. I have a war to win and Uncle Dick says I'm doin' real good at it! I'll probably get a medal.
At night I go to sleep in my own bed. I bet you couldn't guess how tired out I get ever night. You can guess but I'm even more tired than that. I sleep all night. Now I don't drink the corn mash and Sterno no more I don't have to wake up and puke in the trashcan. Presbydentin' is some hard work I tell you what. Sometimes I miss havin' my Sterno.
