Bush Administration (Stolen) is WORST I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE! Any Oldies Agree?
Edited on Mon Dec-18-06 08:32 PM by KoKo01
I've never seen anything like what these people have gotten away with!

The Bush Family Evil Empire or DU Shorthand for "BFEE" has surpassed the quantifiers for EVIL that I could NEVER HAVE IMAGINED!

Blood Drips from their hands. They managed to co-opt former Vietnam Vets like Powell who rose through Repug Ranks who KNEW that THEY were SENT TO WAR...by folks who didn't SERVE IN WWII and YET...all their changes from their experience ALLOWED THEM TO BE CORRUPTED by a Gleam in Bush II's EYE!

It was ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! Colin Powell and the REST OF THEM ...RETIRE WITH MEGABUCKS...They probably have Condo's and Houses out their WAZOO that they can "Flit Around In." Colin has a son who was HEAD OF FCC and probably has enough $$$$$$$$$$$$'s that he can keep his Pappy and the REST OF THEM GOLDEN FOR YEARS!

SHORT HAND SPEAK: "It was ALL ABOUT THE MONEY"....IT WAS ALL ABOUT "Stock Options" ....IT WAS ALL ABOUT THEM!!!!! and keeping their "Loser Kids with Degrees from the Finest Schools" ...EMPLOYED IN THE FAMILY BUSH BUSINESS!!

WE WERE HAD! USED! and WORSE!!!! If and When it EVER ALL COMES OUT WHAT THESE CRIMINALS DID TO AVERAGE MIDDLE CLASS AMERICANS!

1. To top it off, the *shrub mis-administration is still
trying to push the same old agenda. You are right...this is the worse I have ever seen and I've been watching politics since I was young. My Dad and I would sit up all night when I would visit him listening to progressive talk shows and reading and talking politics and what was going on. At least people would fight back in the 60's and 70's. Very few are willing to fight now. It is so sad....

In comparison Tricky Dick is looking pretty good.

12. lol's ....but, as we all know the folks "with him" came back to "Serve Again."
He was the start of what we are dealing with.

So...yeah...maybe going back to them would be a relief if we could do a "Time Warp" but at that time Nixon foze people in their jobs with his "Wage Price Freezes" and getting a house meant at LEAST 10% Down and no Mortgage Funny Business like today. There weren't many houses available and if you couldn't switch your job because he'd put a "Freeze on because of High Inflation" then you kind of suffered pretty bad.

Is it a good trade off for today? I don't know...Nixon was Evil like Bush...we got a little "reprieve" but THEY CAME BACK AND SCREWED US WORSE!

14. Agreed, Nixon was evil.
But at least he was intelligent, unlike the current occupant of Al Gore's White House.

3. Agreed wholeheartedly.
I've been "politically aware" of Presidencies back to and including the Eisenhower administration, and just before it. While I remember the Truman Administration and was born during the FDR Administration, it was during the Kefauver Hearings and, later, the McCarthy Hearings that I began being interested in the national political scene. My family has, with a few notable exceptions, been apolitical. My parents rarely if ever discussed politics while I was growing up.

Nothing - absolutely nothing - compares to the unbounded corruption we're seeing in the Cheney/Bush Administration and the allied interests in the GOP, imho.

13. Ah, my peer group speaks--

If Eleanor cried for Adlai, what would she say now? This administration
is the bottom of the barrel, bar none.

19. With this present group (Bush II)
just when you think they've hit the bottom of the barrel, they find a way to knock the bottom out and go even lower.

16. I agree
I was also born when FDR was president. I remember Truman, then Ike. I can't remember anything even approaching the level of corruption and arrogance of the current cabal. I used to read a lot of mystery novels, and almost any of Bush's actions, if used in a plot back then, would have involved the person doing ANYTHING to keep their actions from being made public.

Now, though, with Bush, the failed businesses, the drug and alcohol abuse, the AWOL cowardice, the illegal wiretapping, the torture, the invasion of non-threatening countries, it seems that in order to convince people to impeach a president is something filmed live before a couple of million people, along with a signed statement.

One of my problems with the non-impeachment side of the argument, is that to fail to impeach Bush and Cheney, we are setting an example of letting politicians get away with murder. How much more illegal, immoral behavior will be willing to ignore before the House and Senate act? If we don't, we are, in essence, condoning his behavior as being within the proper boundaries of his presidency.

23. you mentioned something
that I said once a while back...."my family has, with a few notable exceptions, been apolitical. My parents rarely if ever discussed politics while I was growing up"....exactly...I am going to go so far as to say, I NEVER heard a political word out of either of my parent's mouth...EVER...I was also born, not long after that "day of infamy"....

I wonder if politics were important to them? Did they not realize that whatever happened in DC made a difference in their lives? I know a lot of our parent's generation were uneducated or like my father, went to only the 3rd grade, then had to go to work, to help support 12 siblings...was one of the biggest problems, communications??? radio, local newspapers and party line telephones were about all anyone had...or was it that they were so busy just trying to survive, and didn't have time to be bothered?

I know we did not drive for over an hour to visit relatives w/o taking a suitcase, and staying for a week...my husband went to school in a horse and buggy during the winter...a real sleigh, that literally went over the river and through the woods....he only spoke German(no English) when he started first grade....(a resident of ND) now people travel that far or farther, just to shop, and return home the same day...the sad thing is...the opportunists were alive then, just as they are now...and I would say the pickings were a whole hell of a lot easier because people just didn't know what was going on...that's when the power grab by the elite and those with visions of grandeur started, the dynasties were begun, and once they got a foothold...they didn't back off...the result is what we see today...I never thought I would ever see it as bad as it is now...and I don't know what's going to become of our younger generations...but we should be worried, imo....very worried...

4. This oldie sure agrees with you. Hell, I thought Nixon was sleazy
and bad, but Bush has managed to do something Republicans have prayed for for years - make Nixon look good, and the Dimson has done a fine job of that. Not only have I not seen anything like these people, I have never seen our country in as bad a shape as it is right now. The Taliban managed to cause Russia to go bankrupt and we are falling right into the same trap - WAKE UP, DAMN IT!!!!! Get on your feet and start bitching as loud as you can; all of us need to do this (none of that was meant just for KoKo01). And you're absolutely right: it's all about how much money they can gather so when they all go to live in Paraguay, they will be the richest assholes in that country.

because in their hearts, they don't care about this country, or the people in it. They care only about themselves.

9. I agree! I've never seen our government in such a hopeless situation..
..nor any president with such an arrogant egoistic attitude. Actually, it all boils down to the fact that I am ashamed. Ashamed to admit to my grandchildren and great-granchildren that I allowed these imbeciles free rein to rape and pillage our own government without standing up to be counted. I don't know if "she" can ever be returned to the great nation we knew years ago, but I'm hoping January shows us it can and will be done. I just hope it isn't too little, too late.

10. channeling my departed grandparents...
They are having a fit at what has happened to the country since they departed this plane. And Uncle Vern (Pearl Harbor survivor) is right with them, frothing about the imbecile-in-chief. Grandpa is cutting loose with a string of invective that would fill a room with blue smoke.

now returning to Planet Earth...

My grandparents did talk politics with me, and almost worshiped FDR. I know what they would be saying.

11. Yep, I'm an oldie, and ShrubCo is by far the worst I've seen!
I'm not saying there were never problems. There were for sure. But what crimes they committed or laws they ignored, they at least TRIED to hide what they were doing. This crown doesn't GAS! They just dame do it and say I CAN because I'm the PREZ! They just flaunt their arrogance and dare anyone to stop them!

I know ipeachment wsn't even talked about when the Watergate hearings began, but as info unraveled, even the Pubs knew they could't save him. I can only hope the same will happen with the hearings in 2007!

15. I lived in South America in the age of the banana republic,
corrupt dictatorships, when there was always a revolution going on somewhere and where the crowd who replaced the deposed were often worse than what went before them.

Coming back to the USA was always a balm of sanity to me before I returned again.

But this is no better than those old regimes in the past. We are just as bad now.

18. They're running on a broken record
hoping that the American people will be stupid and brain-dead enough to keep listening and bobbing their heads in agreement.

Meanwhile, Iraqis die, more troops are being shoved in, scandals float etc etc.

And these blood-eyed reptilian so called "American leaders" keep playing the broken record.
