Cost in lives & dollars 'worth it'. Oh, I'll bet they were condi, I'll bet they were.

Condoleezza Rice today said Iraq was worth the cost in US lives and dollars, rejecting accusations that the conflict is a foreign policy disaster.
With George Bush's popularity plummeting amid growing sectarian violence and US casualties rising towards 3,000, the secretary of state defended the decision to invade the country in 2003 and said the US could still win.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Ms Rice was asked whether the additional $100bn (£50.8bn) the Pentagon wants for Iraq and Afghanistan could amount to throwing good money after bad in Iraq.

"I don't think it's a matter of money," she said. "Along the way, there have been plenty of markers that show that this is a country that is worth the investment ... once it emerges as a country that is a stabilising factor, you will have a very different kind of Middle East."

3. Lovely how she says its worth it with out providing any evidence to back
up that claim. Plenty of markers? Why don't you show the markers to the families of the dead.

10. You beat me to it.
Exactly my point. When you are not personally invested in the game it is merely talk. You have no idea of black smoldering rage this ignites inside of me. These cheap lowlife bastards need to serve their tour in harms way before they tell us what "is worth it". But no, the cowardly scum all had "other priorities" when it was their turn to put their asses on the line for this Country they all purport so loudly and so often to "love" and "honor". They personally risk nothing for the great cause of "democracy" which we all know from their actions that in reality, they have absolutely no respect for!

6. "Since its your kids, it's worth it. Plus think of the profits." - Condi
"Hell, I have not be inconvenienced a whit by this war, nor has My beloved Commader AWOL nor Dick 'Five Deferments' Cheney. Plus we all have made Mega Profits on oil and munitions. So it's definitely worth it. Oh, too bad about YOUR kids. Why don't you just shut up and sit down." - Condi

9. Flame me if you must, but it reminds me of Madeline Albright
Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.

it's easy to say things like that. And her soul must be mortgaged and leveraged several times over.

13. Mythbusters
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 09:24 AM by 90-percent
Her statement reminds me of Adam saying; "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" at the beginning of Mythbusters.

Why doesn't she say; "Not only is this War worth our sacrifice in lives and dollars, it would STILL BE WORTH IT if we lost 50,000 troops, spent $10 billion a week instead of 1.5 bil, and we took out sixteen million innocent Iraqi citizens instead of the mere 600,000 we had to kill to liberate."
