I also oppose the death penalty--however, if a true jury of his peers in a fair trial deemed that to be the punishment, then I would not like it (as I don't like the other executions), but it wouldn't have left such a vile taste of backwash.
But I really think the avatars of the hanging Saddam are disgraceful and something I would expect to see where the majority of the authors have sloped foreheads and live in their mom's basement.

Bush kills 3,000 US troops (maimed some 20,000 or so) and probably some 600,000 Iraqis.

Is there a disconnect here?

The implications are obvious to me.
