How many feel positive political change in 2007?
I really hate to be a pessimist but how many more lies will we
take and sit with our hands folded? How many more lives will be
spared before forceful action is taken? I feel every democrat should be sporting an "Impeach Now" bumper sticker and urge everyone who reads this post to jumpstart their new year by
making sure their vehicle has one.

1. I have never dreaded a new year more than I do this one
Oh, I think it's great that Democrats will finally be able to block Stupid's idiocy, but I fear that's the best they can do. You can already see the attack machine digging up dirt on Conyers, who wisely admitted he misused his staff and is ready to take his lumps and move on. Leahy and Waxman are still on the hit list, and all the GOPs have to do is find some minor peccadillo to plant doubt in weak minds that their investigations aren't entirely honest.

I dread this year because I'm afraid we'll see Reaganomics come closer to full fruition, and that means most of us are in for very, very hard times.

In any case, as the dollar falls, we're likely to see higher and higher inflation that the administration and their pet media will continue to lie about. We'll also see the corporate execs cut and run at a faster pace, cashing out and moving to tropical paradises, either sailing out on platinum parachutes or forming managements in exile.

I wasn't this pessimistic during the Nixon years, not even during the height of his power and the worst of the Vietnam war. Nixon didn't have religious fanatics in his corner. Stupid does, and that puts him in a much less vulnerable position.

2. Oh how I wish I could disagree with you.
Alas, I think we are more likely to be disappointed than not.

6. Neither was I during the Nixon years because we had fail
safes built into our laws, but now that those have mostly been dismantled I fear for our economic security. I actually fear more for economic security than being attacked by terrorists, the fear that they are trying to instill in us.

7.  I'm done putting faith in politicians
We are no better off now than before , I'm talking about the last 50 years at least .

We seem to just about climb out of a mess and we then fall even deeper into the next one and everything that was a good idea or policy went right down the hole .

Now we have so very much to address and repair that it will take decades .

If only some of the people find their way forward in the near future and others retain their above upper middle class position then we still fail as a society .

The dems alone can't repair this . It take money and alot of planning with a human conscience to move ahead and this means most all of the people in the USA have to be on the same page .

Let alone the fact that the US is now looked down upon by most of the world and there are more and more countries building up military and nuclear war heads . This to me indicates we are still headed for disaster .

Add in global warming and this seems to be worse than we imagined , here is another great flaw ready to become a huge crack .

Sure one can dream about new alternative fuels but to actually take a broken economy and turn it around to stop the warming process take money most people don;t have to buy that new electric car . Beside who will we buy these cars from , China , this will help nothing here .

I hate to be such a downer but reality and the way man has proven self interest is the goal does not make me to positive about a grand new future . The I , me , mine mindset is still here .

several years now. It's so faded I am going to have to replace it with a new one. I agree though if everyone had one on their cars, no matter where our elected pols go, they would have to see them. Maybe then they will get the message.

5. Y'all need to cheer up. Think what could have been before us.
We could be anticipating another two years of Republican rule everywhere. That thought scared me to death and it was why I worked so hard for John Yarmuth, who beat the incumbent, Anne Northrup, who tried to distance herself by claiming independence, but supported Bush 93% of the time. People are tired of the Bushies; the only one who doesn't get it is the election-fraud himself.

8. Well, we now
have Congress, or will in a few days. These things take time to accomplish.

Let's sit back a few weeks and give Pelosi a chance to show what she can do. I'm cautiously optimistic.

9. Nancy Pelosi
needs to quit being so passive and start talking Impeachment.
No matter what the Democrats are going to be left holding the
bag of Bush's failures, to many to mention and to many to fix
all at once.
We need to Divorce ourselves from this Administration and start
working on the damage as soon as possible.
They keep saying the Democrats don't have a plan well our first
and foremost plan should be dumping this corrupt administration.

10. As Howard Dean said
no matter what.......we will never get the 36 Republican votes
to impeach him. We need to go after Wolfowitz and the likes.
