So * may veto legislation in the 110th. Let him. |
|
Put him in the position of explaining why, and those in congress who side with him on legislation to ease the burden on the middle and lower classes and to end the killing explain themselves during the election process. I don't care what these greedy right wing warmongers say, nor do I give a flying fig about what Democratic political operatives say (you know, the Schrums, Carvilles, Begalas, etc.). I think most people agree that some bold changes need to occur. We need to step up and do the job.

1. Also we need to let people know about signing statements that |
|
are designed to negate the will of congress.

2. There has to be some way that the people can bring the executive |
|
to the court to render a judgment on this. It is blatantly unconstitutional and usurps the power of the people. The executive is not above the law.

6. If he vetoes everything handed him, it will be a shooin to get 60 Democratic |
|
Senators come 08, and 2/3 of the House and a Democrat in the White House.
Unless it didn't...
And if we treaded water for two years, but even then, treading water is better than having the Republicans and DINOs making our policy and voting with the rubber stamp.

7. Kestrel predicts Bush's "explanation" each and every time he vetoes |
|
legislation put forth by the Dem Congress (and he will veto EVERYTHING they put forward) will be that He, and only He, is the Decider.
Just you watch.

9. If that is the case, I want Health care put out there first |

I WANT him to tell people with children, sick people, every person, that he does not want you to be able to see a doctor if you are sick unless you are rich or LUCKY enough to get health insurance as a benefit of employment.
Make him an elitist rich bastard with health care coverage,... use Medicare, prescription drugs (2 for 1 since you get to make the drug companies look bad at the same time) ANYTHING that makes him look like an evil unfeeling asshole if he vetoes the legislation. I want legislation added on to them that says "we agree to declare that puppies are cute" and let him veto that and the go to the press and tell everyone Bush hates puppies, children and all things cute.
Anything at all to bring the true nature of the beast to the forefront. Whatever..it..takes
