Bush's Health Insurance...more money out of pocket for patients... |
|
I heard an explanation this morning on the radio about the proposals on health insurance by the Bushbots. Basically (and both speakers agreed, one from the right and one from the left)that all it really means is huge deductibles ...as much as $1500 or more and higher co-payments. Before you could qualify for the insurance you would have to agree to these outrageous deductibles. Folks, I tell you, it's going to be just like the SS and Medicare fiascos. The only people helped will be the insurance companies.

4. This is a repackaging of catastrophic health insurance that |
|
already exists, but now they are cutting in the banks for more profits. This will make health care even more unavailable to those who need it and will cheat the health care providers as well, which means most health care providers will deman cash up front and won't agree to accepting these plans.
We need someone in Congress to stand up and yell to the rafters what the truth is on this. An easy solution to this is to remove the 65 years and older requirement on Medicare and offer it for sale on the free market in competition with other plans.
