Signing statements
Has anyone done any research on whether "signing statements" are legal or not? I think we really need to investigate this issue because the idiot has been doing it for a long time, and we need a challenge in order to stop it. It is important that we take that power from the idiot, and show that signing statements are illegal. Otherwise, the idiot will keep it up and retain power that he should not have in the first place. It's scary, because he always does it on a passed bill, so there is absolutely NO OVERSIGHT.

1. Maybe we could send him a signing statement
SAYING WE DON'T RECOGNIZE HIM AS PRESIDENT BECAUSE HE STOLE TWO ELECTIONS. Think it will work.

2. They have no constitutional standing, therefore no legal standing
That doesn't necessarily make them illegal, merely non legal.

3. I think that the whole point to signing statements are to provide cover
for him ignoring or misinterpreting the intent of congress. So that if he appears in front of a judge later he can say (or his lawyer anyway) that he understood the law to mean this and that. They only have legal significance so long as we believe them to have legal significance.

Obviously the way to eliminate them is for the justice department to take him up on charges of breaking the law or ignoring the intent of Congress, and have a judge say "Your intepretation aside, the intent of congress is quite clear, and you don't get to ignore that."

4. He can staple yellow smiley faces to the bills if he wants. It has very little meaning.
i.e. I doubt in court a judge would take a signing statement into consideration when interpreting the law, unless as stated above, it was the President his/herself defending their actions in relation to the law.
