a couple of good ol' Boys sharing an inside joke. They seem very relaxed with each other like they have known each other for years. Look at the way fearless Leader looks into the camera lens like he is playing to an audience of other insiders.

Lobbyists make me sick. They really do. They exist for one reason and one reason only -- to give large sums of money to elected leaders in exchange for favors. It is legalized bribery, although couched in much more civilized terms.
We, as citizens, do not have the right to haul a dump-truck load of money into a senator's office and spirit the senator (and his family) off to Maui for a week-long junket.
Our leaders no longer represent us. They represent their own self-interest. I want lobbying reform and ethics reform. Stop the gifts, the trips, the dinners, and the huge contributions. Democrats need to take the high road here.
