Democrats: Bush picks 'wrong direction'
In the Democratic response to President George Bush's Wednesday speech on Iraq, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said Bush has chosen "the wrong direction."

(snip)
Durbin said the United States is not winning the war in Iraq, and said sending more troops goes against the wishes U.S. voters expressed in November.

"Escalation of this war is not the change the American people called for in the last election," Durbin said.

He said the course Bush outline is not a new direction but the wrong direction.

1. Yeah, I can say that too. The difference is Durbin can de-fund it,
and I can't.
