I would never have believed I could hate someone more than Bush; I was WRONG
I want to barf at even the SIGHT of Joe Lieberman.

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

"I applaud the President for rejecting the fatalism of failure and pursuing a new course to achieve success in Iraq. There is no more difficult decision that a President can make than to send our nation’s bravest soldiers and patriots into harm’s way. Yet, no objective is more worthy in defending America’s vital national security interests than aiding a struggling democracy and supporting brave moderates who are in a life and death struggle against totalitarian extremists supported by Al Qaeda and Iran.

Our troops have sacrificed much and now more will be asked of them to defend our nation. They fight in a just, noble and moral cause against the forces of terrorism, and their sacrifices will make America and the world more secure. I want our troops to return home as soon as possible – after we allow, enable and support them in accomplishing their mission in Iraq in finishing this fight."

:puke:

Somebody PLEASE put me out of my misery. He makes me feel so ill.

5. It was always clear about *
never trusted him, never liked his daddy or any of the group that they hang with. But with old Joe, he betrayed us, he turned. He was our candidate for vp! I just uncovered the old Gore/Leiberman '00 campaign sign in the closet. It was a shock seeing his name on it now.

to put Holy Joe out to pasture. I know that so many Nutmegger worked their arses off to get rid of this guy. Hey, we love you and know you did everything you could. It's not your fault.

7. Keep repeating: We need his vote. We need his vote. We need his vote....
Because we DO.

Our Senate majority hangs by a thread, with one Dem in the hospital recovering from a bad stroke.

We need Joe Lieberman to caucus with the Democrats and vote with them. I for one am grateful that he didn't re-register as a Republican.

As for his opinions, I think he's sincere. Sincerely mistaken, but sincere. Not a congenital liar like Bush.

And we need his vote.

I just turn the tv to another station.

9. The OTHER senator's seat for CT might be up. Wouldnt it funny if --
Lamont won the other spot?
thus making Lieberman insignificant.
How FUNNY would it be watching the
Dems take away his chairmanship.

19. But Chris Dodd is a DEMOCRAT
So Ned Lamont, or any other Dem winning the seat, would not make Joementum insignificant.

14. If there is a vote on the war, war funding, impeachment, change
in foreign policy...

Joementum will NOT be voting with the Dems. Period.

We better start lovin up some of these recent anti-war Repukes, cause we are going to need them.

Even if it kills you, drop a line to Gordon Smith and tell him that he is on the right track.

15. True.But will he support minimum wage,Medicare, health care & Social Security?
Those are incredibly important too, and I haven't heard any rumors that he's against those.

Democratic chairmanships also hang on a Democratic majority. No Democratic majority, no House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

I'm sorry to sound like a broken record, but no matter how much ol' Joe has disappointed us, we still need him.

Fortunately, a lot of Republicans seem to be crossing over the aisle to vote with the Dems so far. That's good news.

16. What are you smokin tonight???
Joe is in the Senate, one of the 100. Speaker Pelosi is in the House. The Dems have a safe majority in the House. The Senate doesn't affect the House. Joe only promised to caucus with the Dems on things like Senate majority leadership and, therefore, committee chairs in the Senate (all very important), however votes on non-organizational matters (laws, budgets, even symbolic votes) are up to each individual Senator. It is the job of the Majority Whip (and the Minority Whip) to try to keep their party members in line on these votes (do whatever horse trading and jawboning required)... it is also the job of the whips to make sure the senators show up to vote (which is going to be a problem with so many running for President).
I think Joe will vote with the Dems on the social programs (but maybe not all of them).

He will oppose any attempt to end this war, or even to keep the current status quo and not expand the war. Joe is a Neocon.

Lieberman null and void. If one Democrat defects to the other side and three Republicans defect to our side like what has already happened then Lieberman is nada and Cheney can only sit and preside.
