Bush brought his old speech writer, Gerson, back for last night's speech?
It's all about how you sell it. That is a cornerstone in his basic beliefs. If you can't bullshit your way through, find a good sales pitch.

It did seem that the speech last night was different from most of his recent speeches. I doubt that Bush wrote it. It did have the tone of a Gerson speech. Perhaps we will find out in the near future?

I wouldn't doubt that Gerson or Frum had a hand in it or wrote the whole thing.

I honestly doubt that he is really capable of writing his own speeches.

3. i saw a difference in this speech. and thought it had good sell in it, BUT
america and the people too opposed. dems have their voice. media did not fall for it. we werent sold. i was glad to see

4. I heard Gerson was an unofficial contributor, but didn't write it.
My guess it was primarily written by the neocon nutcases at the AEI - it had their ideological bent to it.
