1. Oh my God - she told the TRUTH??
Saddam refused to be our puppet anymore and we finally hung him. I figure Maliki will get suicided or IED'd instead.

3. I've read Bush told lawmakers he's said to Maliki, it's this or you're out
So I second your question but apply it to Bush as well.

The Iraqi parliament was elected to a 4-year term, for the record, though the government could potentially be voted down by a vote of no confidence... if the parliament ever gets a quorum again.

9. Hmm...good point. Was Negroponte moved to State to make up Rice's incompetence?

11. the real powers that be wanted one of poppy's men
in State

Rice is grotesquely incompetent and the illegal occupation of Iraq is now moving into a stage during which actual diplomacy may be required. The powers behind the bushes can't imagine Rice in control fo that any more than we can.

7. It's a show, on the Admin's part. Also happens to be true, imo.
Bushco needs to pull off this escalation, err "augmentation", once called a "surge", , for their own reasons; and Maliki is skating on thin ice, for his own reasons. Go figure.
