We've gone through the Looking Glass
I think we've finally seen George W. Bush being the Uniter he promised to be...except it's that the country is uniting against him and his administration.

I've dipped in and out of Senate and House hearings today, right-wing talk radio, water cooler conversations and news coverage, both straight news and opinion. And I feel like I've landed in a parallel universe. Joe Klein talking against Bush and his policies? Michael Savage advocating moving troops OUT of Iraq and basically embracing the Dem's ideas? Chuck Hagel and NORM COLEMAN raking Condi Rice over the coals?

This is just utterly bizarre to me. I'm not believing what I'm seeing, reading and hearing.

And I'm not sure I like it. For one simple reason. What does a cornered animal do when threatened? Bush is going to lash out, and it's going to be at Iran. He can't come after the entire U.S., but he certainly is determined to maintain some sort of legacy and his own personal inadequacies demand that he prove he's right and he's tough. So Iran WILL be next and I fear what that will lead to.

1. It's like after the speech....America as a whole cannot
continue to suspend logic and gut feelings......*man as someone said today "delusional in a Hitler" kind of way.....Hitler called on phantom troops to attack the Americans...even though they did not exist.....still believing that Germany could win the war....* even after 5 or 6 trys still thinks that this path is going to work...is starting to hang out in his bunker.....

This is going to end very badly...for the country and for the world...

3. The look in his eyes last night was the first clue. I couldn't even
watch, it made me so uncomfortable.

He knows what's coming and it's scaring the crap out of him. But he has to show daddy he can play with the Big Boys and preserve that legacy.

2. I really believe big things are going to happen next week
America and the entire World are united against Bush. Even Hitler had allies.

I still hold out hope that Bush will be stopped.

4. Even if the tide continues to turn, I'm starting to fear it is too late. The
attack on the Iranian consulate has really made me worried that they are going to get us into something that we won't be able to get out of.

I'm holding out hope, but that attack just totally shocked me.

6. We've gone through the looking glass....
...enough times to get one of those dashboard transponders so we don't have to stop at the tolls on each trip.

8. I know it's an endless nightmare
And yes it gets so bad that I laugh. It's an absurd thing like Kafka or a spy novel or something. I can only handle so much outrage before it's just a joke. Most hated incompetent unintelligent never truly elected president ignores the wishes of congress, the American people, and manages to let one terror attack happen turn that into a war based on utter falsehoods, then turns that into a global conflict affecting the lives of millions. And I'm watching it all LIVE!
