Jon Stewart Ponders Bedding Down With Post - 1/11 - In Washingtonian, Harry Jaffe tells us that Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart (right) is in talks with the Washington Post to cover the 2008 presidential election for the newspaper's website. At the upper echelons, the Post already is in league with Microsoft, with Melinda Gates on its board of trustees. The Post also collaborates with GE/NBC-owned MSNBC and the Wall Street Journal. 2. Well, that's one way to keep him under control. It's called corporate buyout.

If something comes on the market that threatens your product or agenda, buy them out and sit on them.

3. Jon please think of the children
of the future. They need you to stay independent. We all do. Whether you know or admit it, you are a freedom-fighter.

4. Don't want him to do it
email him and tell him so. If you want to, but don't know how, just ask and I will tell you. I have emailed him several times and, probably because a couple of hundred people did too on the same subject, he has mentioned it on air. So I know he does get the messages, whether it is through someone else or he gets them personally.

6. I have no idea why.
For the NY post or the Washington times, yes I would know why. But for this one, I don't know.

Jon to make arrangements, if he does this, to not be bought out. Bought out for me means ideology, slant, propaganda - no payola for pushing anything that is and looks like anything that leans right.
