What we are witnessing is terrifying to behold. |
|
It has come to pass that we must remove this lunatic and his vice president from power, and it must happen NOW. US marshals must enter the White House and arrest them. He is murdering our citizens and untold numbers of Iraqis, and perhaps now Iranians and Syrians, for all we know.
Impeachment and removal will be too late.
He must be stopped NOW.
He knows that we are all on to him and his bloody crimes against the world's people. He knows we will find out about his secret, criminal acts that have been going on since he was installed into the White House in 2000 against the will of The People.
With each new investigation by a determined Congress that he no longer controls, it will unearth his treason, murder, international crimes against humanity and the robbery of the American people of their children, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, extended family members, loved ones.
He is a train heading for the end of a blown-up trestle over a raging, rocky, bloody river. His mind is spinning into a black hole of destruction and there is no more hope for him to retrieve his imagined legacy, his standing against his father, now that the whole world will see him stripped of his power and arrogance.
There's no turning back.
He must be stopped NOW.
For the love of all things in this universe, he must be stopped now.

As a legal aside, arrests by non-peace officers can only be validly executed under very narrow circumstances - otherwise, it usually constitutes civil battery and/or false imprisonment. Not to mention that there are probably sovereign immunity issues. Members of the DC bar can probably provide more insight than this humble scrivener.

8. A touch hysterical but probably accurate |
|
The problem is society. We respect people based on money and titles and things like that. "Don't say that about your teacher, Bobby." Well the teacher is a perverted creep but the profession must be respected. There is an inherent amount of respect given to the office of president. IT may come to pass that we are being led by a lunatic madman but politics forbids such mentioning of truth. I have always despised society. "Don't say anything about the boss." Yeah the boss is fucking you over big time, but we must respect the one with the money and power.
I never ever have. It's genetic or something. Some will never ever speak the truth. And it's usually too late when they do. If we lived in a different world, Bush would have been removed for incompetence (at the very least) a long time ago (like say after 9/11-you know about a week after). But power and money and respect for power and money are the planet I live on. I'm the weird one. Never them. UGHHHHHHHHHH.

|
the voting machines were tilted by about 5% evidently, if the exit polls are to be believed, and the corroborating evidence is strong enough that I think the exit polls can be seen as very likely the most accurate reading of the results. Bush won in cyber space by about 2 1/2 % but he lost the exit polls by about 3%, a flip of about 5%. This was prettyconsistent from state to state tho there were exceptions of course, depending on whether the state was critical to the election and the degree that each state was using the voting machines.

Bush pathologically lies, spies as U.S. citizens die and he ignores the Constitution and international convention as he goes.
Yet "civilized" laws allow W's historic debacle to continue. His reign of terror and error even seeks to escalate it. What we are witnessing is terrifying to behold, indeed.
The people voted starkly against Bush and the RepubliCONs but there goes Bush wanting a bigger, bloody conflict for no justifiable reason. We want what is best for us and Bush wants what he thinks will make him a place in history (!) regardless the cost. What a dichotomy.
We must stop the madness! I am open to suggestion on the best way to proceed.

they'd better hurry. From Keith Olbermann's comment last night: And you offer us nothing to justify this clenched fist toward Iran and Syria.
In fact, when you briefed news correspondents off-the-record before the speech, they were told, once again, “if you knew what we knew … if you saw what we saw … ”
“If you knew what we knew” was how we got into this morass in Iraq in the first place.
The problem arose when it turned out that the question wasn’t whether we knew what you knew, but whether you knew what you knew.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16583889/page/3/Bush is still listening to the neocons and ignoring how obviously planted this Iranians with the "wiring diagram" to the Iraqi insurgency is. Impeachment will take too long.

Illegal invasion and war for oil profits. Destruction of the U.S. Constitution. Removal of Habeas Corpus. "Signing Statements". Torture of insurgents and accused non-combatants alike. Indefinite imprisonments, including of U.S. and U.K. nationals, without trials. Illegal domestic spying and wire-tapping. Classifying of non-classified material.
What more does anyone in Congress need, before they do their duty as required by law?

a real Empire or democracy he would be dealt with. One by a detail sent by power brokers, the other by exercise of law and checks and balances. We walk in twilight to conflicting muted trumpets, most in denial.
So "stopping" becomes a perilous imperative, uncertain in form or success or result upon the nation. One prudent way would be to bring down Cheney, again moving every damned scenario offstage. An immediate impotence would derail our lazy boy decider. Another would be ANY legal confrontation that would engage these tyrants totally in their sham of heading a democracy. Another would be swiftly cutting out the spigots that feed the beast.
We are in the basic position war vote or no that we were last time, all other pretenses dropped, made more difficult by each past surrender. Stopping means stopping, not arguing the issues or meeting the juggernaut halfway. There never was any other choice, not even 2000. All the hard nosed overthrowers are on their side and they will not do anything unless Bush had the energized craziness to personally go after them.

I volunteered because I loved the idea of the United States and had a few years to spare, to each their own, support each other, fairness in law and business. It's all gone, flushed by the greed of corporations for excessive profit. GWBushit has sold us out to the defense and oil industries and the people be damned. Wars are great for profits, sick excessive morally repugnant great big goddamned profits. Many good people are dying for this system, many good young men and women are forever disabled for it. If there ARE any principled and honorable military commanders left after all the purges past and recent, the ONLY course they could reasonably take would be to resign and then speak out.
But I don't think there's anyone willing to go out on that limb. They'll just keep following orders.

|
Think of the power that Bush has.
Think of how crazy Bush is.
Think of how arogant Bush is.
Think of the contempt Bush has for the American people.
Think of the hatred Bush has for the American people (after all, only 31% think he is doing a good job).
Then think of what Bush could do to us.
He could do things that would make 9/11 look like a Sunday picnic.
Then think of how we can get rid of him now.

68. Assuming they will not respond it Congressional Inquiry, |
|
both houses might introduce legislation in clear language outlining their crimes and imposing death penalties for conviction; making it legal for any citizen to carry out the death sentences for the convicted. Then start hearings by both full houses. Those cowardly criminals would have those big blue 747's flying toward South America at Mach .97 before the first day of deliberation broke for lunch. The paranoia would get them even before their guards could legally drill them.
Just make it legal to off them and they wouldn't last an hour in my opinion. The people around them know better than we do what crimes they have committed against the Constitution and some few might care.
