Does anyone remember any other President being called CiC |
|
as often as Bush? I know that the President is also the Commander in Chief of the military, but I really don't recall, even during Vietnam, the sitting President being referred to as the CiC as often as Bush.
Anyone remember if other Presidents were referred to by that title as often?

It is clear that they want a dictator type figure....and they have pushed the media to use the terminology until it gets into Americans minds...but at this point Americans aren't listening anymore.

2. That's my impression too, Maddie. |

Just wanted to check with other folks to see what they recalled.
And yeah, most people aren't listening to him any more.

4. I know they are all referred to as CiC at times. It just seems |
|
that Bush is referred to in that way more than any other President. I don't recall Johnson or Nixon being referred to as CiC quite as often.

6. He is NOT CiC to the American people |
|
He's CiC of the military, period. Every time a Republicon insists on referring to Bush** as "our" CiC I want to gag at the blatant attempt to redefine his office to the public. He was not elected Emperor!!

And the founders put the CiC into the Constitution, because in times of war, it is necessary to have one person that is in charge. Obviously, they never imagined a George W Bush would ever be elected President, I think it is safe to say. But the CiC was created out of perceived necessity, not for any other reason.

7. He also INSISTS on being addressed as 'Mr. President' at all times... |
|
...apparently 'Sir" isn't respectful enough. :eyes::puke:
In this house, he has NEVER been 'The President' or 'Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces'. He is referred to as 'Bush' or 'the current occupant of the Oval Office' when I'm emailing or calling my Senators or Congressdroid.
I'm almost positive they understand the distinction.
