The benefit of being a Bush supporter |
|
A conservative friend of mine (yes, I do have one or two of them) told me this morning that he got pulled over for speeding this morning (doing 62 in a 50 mph zone).
He said the state trooper came up to the window and asked to see his license and registration. As he looked them over, the trooper said, "Is that a Bush sticker on your car bumper?"
My friend, who is actually no longer a big supporter of Bush and has even expressed disgust with him, said he was a little embarrassed but acknowledged that it was indeed a Bush sticker.
The trooper said, "In that case, I'm just going to give you a warning this morning."
Then, when he saw my friend's little daughter in the backseat, he ran over to his patrol car and returned with a stuffed toy that he gave her.
When my friend ribbed me about maybe getting a Bush sticker for my car, I said I'd rather just pay the fricking ticket. We'll all be paying for the Bush junta's crimes and incompetence for years to come anyway, so what's a speeding ticket but a tiny drop in the bucket?

1. That's a disgrace. If the shoe were on the other foot, |
|
this story would be headline news on Faux.

2. you should tell your friend that he'd be better off with |
|
FOP and Fireman support stickers, plus then he'd actually be supporting people who do good things.

4. You need to report this... |
|
to the department the trooper belonged to. I would imagine what he did is illegal.
