From Our Street Corner: 200+ K.C. People held home-made signs and candles

last night near the CC Plaza, for the national response to Bush's Escalation of the War in Iraq.

Many Kansas Citians are also going to Washington this month.

The video was done early, by 7:30 there were over 200 people, including many students, at Nichols Fountain. The crowd was enthusiastic and there was a great deal of honking!

The lady with her daughter was especially effective, as she seemed like every(good)mom.

2. Many different kinds of people were there. Bunches of cars honking.
A Catholic high school group was there. Students from UMKC.

There is a basic group of about 20 that is on that corner every Sunday.
