Unregulated capitalism is nothing more than tyranny.
What we've seen for the past six years is unregulated capitalism. Can anyone deny that we are currently living under tyrants named Bush, Cheney and their followers?

A handful of companies are making/stealing untold billions in Iraq. And pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies are running amok with their rates here at home.

These are but two examples of businesses that are raping the American public. Who gave them the go-ahead? George W. Bush, the Republican Party and every imbecile who votes for them.

Even though the Dems now control congress, anything they do to put a stop to this insanity will label them as "traitors" (in the case of Iraq), or "socialists/communists" (in the case of big business).

The media will never tell anyone that this is what's taking place. They too are a wholly owned subsidiary of this administration. So my question is, what do we do about it?

The founding fathers could never have foreseen the extreme degree of corruption and tyranny that exists today. And please, don't tell me about constitutional remedies. Does anyone really believe the Dems will go for impeachment to start the house cleaning?

After the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked Benjamin Franklin, "What type of government have you given us?" Franklin answered, "A Democracy, if you can keep it." Can we?

1. Yeah, sad to be forced into a Marxist position in this day and age
but there is no doubt that money is power and power demands control of government to serve power's interest. The US is way down the path, our government is now "of, by and for the corporations."

We are witnessing the rise of a corporate based global Landstrad.

2. Aristotle said -

"In a democracy the poor will have more power than the rich, because there are more of them, and the will of the majority is supreme."

Have we ever really had a democracy?

Have we ever been so far from a democracy?
