"The Donald": Let’s bomb Iran |
|
Trump today on Bush’s speech: “You know, the one thing I sorta liked was what they were saying about Iran. I believe you have to go in and strike Iran — not with soldiers. You know, it’s not a world of soldiers anymore. It’s a world of air. It’s a world of different kinds of, you know, we’ve changed.” http://thinkprogress.org/2007/01/12/donald-trump-lets-bomb-iran/Fucking asswipe. And this Imus idiot...WTF?

Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 04:57 PM by tiptoe
Lawmaker to push reinstating draft House Democrat says it would deter US [and Trump?] from warsOops! Looks like there's a loophole for the rich: "Under the plan, some of the troops would be assigned to community service in the states."

18. that's the unfortunate consequence of Iraq for conservatives |
|
the lesson won't be engaging in diplomacy or working within UN framework to penalize nations hostile to us, but to use brute force air bombing campaigns. You're starting to hear the "nuke 'em" and "turn them into glass" snide and racist remarks about arab states rather than the "spread democracy" argument that has been a miserable failure.

Anyone who is referred to as "the Donald" is the definite article. What he says goes. Yes, I'm sure his kids will be going but as leaders not followers.

29. 'Not a world of Soldiers'? |
|
That shows that he has no idea what he is talking about. If this is not aworld of soldiers than why are we in Iraq? Infantry are still the backbone of any military operation, regardless of how commanders delude themselves. Iran is not a tiny pisant state that we can bomb with impunity. We can't just run and hide after bombing like we usually do. Iran has the capability to strike back at us both in Iraq and Afganistan, as well as on the high seas. Iran has a real military, unlike any enemy we have faced since 1945; they have planes, warships, missiles, tanks, and an army that is roughly the same size as ours that is not perilously close to the breakin point. Asswipe.

An old WWII dogface is standing next to a dejected young jet pilot who's reading a newspaper headline that says "MANNED AIRCRAFT OBSOLETE IN MISSILE AGE". He's grinning cynically and saying, "Don't let it throw you, kid. I been outta style for fifty years."
