34. It must have been horrible for the kid
I saw the news. I was hoping he was a runaway, and not kidnapped by a molestor like he was. I really really hope they give this creep life in prison with no chance of parole so no more kids have to suffer.

6. I just saw that! Can you imagine the reaction of the parents of the boy missing since 2002???!!!
OMG! Surely they thought he was dead. What a blessing. They have to be the happiest people on earth right now.

16. That's what I'm thinking.
I saw a movie like that once. The kid was found after a couple of years--I remember thinking "Too bad that doesn't happen in real life". This is the kind of joy we can all share with the parents.

25. Except that their boy probably isn't the same as he was before
he was kidnapped.

I'm sure a long road of psychiatric help is in store for that family.

I'm VERY glad he's alive and so thrilled for his parents, but I'm still sad at what they now must all face.

37. I've been thinking the same
They have to re-connect, and work through whatever trauma he's survived. It'll take years, and they'll never have the life they would have if this criminal hadn't kidnapped the boy. I feel for them, and am furious that one human being would put others through such an ordeal.

15. Can you imagine how the parents are feeling?
Especially the parents of the kid who's been missing for four years! They had every reason to think he was dead. I just can't imagine that.

19. I was trying to put myself in his mother's place.
I'm pretty sure that I'd be on the verge of a breakdown and in need of medical treatment. This is a level of joy that most people never expect to attain and, when it happens, it must feel utterly surreal.

I hope they caught the creep that took him. I would like for him to recieve the justice he deserves. No special treatment. Just put him in the general population at the local prison.

I was in the imos the kidnapper worked at a couple of weeks ago. I guess this proves that people like this can be everywhere - even in a safe place like Kirkwood is. I don't recognize the picture of the person, though. I've been seeing the photos of the new boy up in stores.

So glad they were found alive.

Here's another article from the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

30. Good. Now let the stupid MSM back the hell off of the Families.
Leave them alone. That eldest will need much help, leave him the fuck ALONE. Back Off!!!!!!!!!
I do not want to know any more of what these boys have been thru.
All I can think of, is that Steven kid, and his Families tragedy that should have been recovery.
No More News on this item.

Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 09:56 PM by TheGoldenRule
because it was so painful to see the parents grief. What a miracle that not only was the one boy found but also the other boy! :bounce:

Also, it was heartbreaking to read that the parents of the older boy depleted their life savings looking for him and have obviously been through hell! The kid who observed the pickup racing away deserves a big thank you from both families, because they would never have been found if it wasn't for him!

Also...Flame away but IMO, sick fuckers like the guy who kidnapped them deserve to be castrated and locked up forever. Enough is enough of this shit! :grr:

And castration not needed. Just chuck the likes of this in w/ the general prison population, turn your back and close your ears to the perps screams. Perps are not well tolerated in our prison system.
