Does Patrick McHenry (R-smarmy, NC) remind anyone else of |
|
Tom Delay? Everytime I see that weaselly little twerp, I get Delay vibes. I think he needs to be taken down before he arrives at that point in his career. Any North Carolinians on the forum who could tell us more about him than the official biography online?

2. I don't think McHenry is much of a leader--also not as smart, immoral, and |
|
determined as Delay. I don't think he has what it takes to follow in Delay's sleezy footprints.

That McHenry is yet another in the long line of self-loathing closeted "conservative" Republicans.

7. As a native Tar Heel, McHenry is just another in a long list of embarassments to this state. |
|
Topping the list of course, is Jesse Helms, closely followed by Liddy Dole, Richard Burr, Lauch Faircloth, Robin Hayes, and Sue Myrick, in no particular order. I feel sorry for my state every time one of these idiots makes the news.

8. CNN's coverage of the whole Samoa thing has`been so sleazy |
|
On Lou Dobbs last night the news report did include the info that the Samoa exception was in the existing law, but then Lou went on to talk about "ethical issues" and asked a poll question. (Don't remember the exact question) asking people to vote on whether they were disappointed in Boxer
Even when the MSM throws us a crumb of factually correct information, they take it right back in the "commentary" portion.

9. They also mentioned on Lou Dobbs that the company Pelosi |
|
is accused of giving favors to is a REPUBLICAN contributor.

10. Thanks for correcting me so gently. |
|
I was obviously mixing up my outrages--the ridiculous attack on Boxer for allegedly attacking Condi's childless state and the manufactured attack on Pelosi's ethics.

11. Sorry - I used the caps because it seemed to be the one point |
|
lost in the entire brouhaha. I'm sure McHenry didn't realize he was cutting off the gravy train when he made his move.

I was sincerely complimenting you for simply using Pelosi's name in your post rather than making the point that I had referred to the wrong California politician in mine.
