Once Blair Leaves Office, Bush will be ALL ALONE.......
The danger will be he will attempt something dramatic to change the status quo.

He will likely become more and more detached, isolated, and delusional.

THis is all being taken in by Republicans, and the time to tell him to go is coming quickly.

18. I'll be extremely interested to see how Gordon Brown handles this
Some thing's I've read say that he's a lefty at heart and not a huge proponent of the war and some of the other New Labour policies. That said, it certainly didn't stop him from resigning from the cabinet when Blair backed the war. Maybe he knows it's better to keep his mouth shut until he's Prime Minister.

Also, politically it's a perfect opportunity to turn things around. Blair probably wishes he could go back and time and not jump on with Bush's war because it has completely ruined an otherwise great legacy. Brown has the opportunity to back away from this when he gets into office. Whether he will do it will be very interesting to see.

7. Bush could lose Cheney and the game plan would only intensify, like Bush
said, we're not leaving Iraq so long as I'm the president. Bush has a plan, an agenda and if he isn't impeached he'll pull it off.

8. First it was Spain, then the Italians wised-up.
Blair is hanging in there with the old English Public School stiff upper lip, no how distasteful it is being poodle to Fearless Leader. You would figure the Europeans, with their historical similes would have smartened-up sooner.

17. we ARE alone- that is what Boxer said that no one wants to hear-
or acknowledge-

She talked about the dead and suffering. She talked about the fact that 'our friends' are turning away- and leaving "us" where 'we' should have been to begin with- ALONE in this fools errand to export greed and death to the world.

At an unimaginable cost.
