I have been listening to an amazing radio show about Reverend Dr. King |
It is entitled "King: From Atlanta to the Mountaintop". I do not know if it is available on cd or not, but it is amazing! It is being broadcast on a local college station. I will call and ask them if it is available. Narrated by a guy named Lee Bailey, who does not pull punches when it concerns Bull Connor and other evil racist bastards. There is some cultural footage interwoven, such as Viet Nam, the music of the era, Muhammed Ali, Malcolm X, and more. If it's out there, get it!

1. there is a book, Parting the Waters, which would really inspire you |
It came out in the late 80s and is about the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s. It is concidered the classic book on that time and brings out King as a person. Bracing.
