Prestidigitation! Shazzam! Voila! |
|
A good magician instructs you to watch carefully the part of the trick that has nothing to do with how the trick is actually performed.
Likewise, anyone who has followed the Bush Administration over the last 6 yrs knows that what they say is meant to divert your attention from what they are really doing.
The debate over 'the surge' was for show, since Bush ordered the surge back in November and wheels were in motion making it happen even as Bush publicly pretended to be contemplating whether to order it.
The debate over an attack on Iran most likely falls in the same category. It is clear that Cheney travelled to Saudi Arabia to inform them how their oil fields and supply routes would be protected from Iranian retaliation in the event of an attack on Iran.
Anyone who thinks they can reason with Bush and change his mind is way behind the curve. The 'decider' has decided, there will be no opportunity to reason with him, and there is a fast closing window on the opportunity to stop his attack on Iran.
Members of Congress need to give up their role of observers at Bush's Magic Show, and shut the operation down. Now. Today. And there is not a minute to lose....

3. Someone once asked the Politician Why He Lied? .... |
|
Was it because it was in his nature? "No," he replied. "I lie because it does my bidding."
The lesson here is that no one lies for the heck of it. There is always a benefit the liar attempts to derive from the act of lying.
So why does Bush and his Administration lie repeatedly and consistently to the American people, and the world? Because it does their bidding, and they derive a benefit from it.
Keep that in mind as the Bush lies are exposed and disclosed by Congressional Investigations.
There is no 'good faith' exception for these guys.
