I often check the 'Drudge Report', just to keep up with things that are being said there! The article I saw there (not a flattering one for our fearless leader) what about Al-Maliki telling everyone who will listen..
...that we aren't arming their soldiers! HUH??? So.... we are expecting them to 'carry on' and fight terror and whatever else they are fighting there, with WHAT??? ..therefore if we would simply 'arm them' we could take the entire population of armed forces outta there within 3 to 6 months! He is saying they aren't allowed the needed weapons, yet are being blamed for not doing enough.
Whassup with this?? Anyone have any more info on this??

2. Maliki wants us out of there because his militias are jonesing for a little ethnic cleansing |

The military too is mostly Shia, and there have been problems with them being shall we say a little too gung ho when it comes to certain troublemakers and less so when it comes to others.
They surely are getting weapons from us, including -- what was it? 14,000+ weapons that have gone missing since the US started arming the Iraqi military?
Bottom line: Drudge is no authority on the facts, which are murky at best on this subject.
