3. That old fossil Domenici has announced his retirement
after his current term. I sincerely hope so because it's the only way we can get the old bastard out of there.

This is a big military state and the fools the military has produced who retired here still think the GOP is good for them.

6. Thanks. I didn't know how to sort it.
Got it from an email and it was in a table format so I had to manually separate them in my post.

8. On a Mac

  1. Copy your text

  2. Bring up a Terminal window

  3. type "pbpaste | sort"

  4. copy the results

Very useful little trick.

23. Haa. I know you Mac users are very loyal. I don't blame you.
I know you have far less virus attacks, and perhapse more options than a PC format, but you have to understand...we who started with a PC YEARS AGO are used to this format. I really like the wayall windows programs work well together. I wasthe Dir. of MIS in my last job, and I had a nithead who wal always looking for the perfect answer to all out problems. He tried 15 to 20 programs that were probably great on their own, but had insurmountable problemsworking in a windows environment. We finally decided to try Widnows Access and all worked GREAT!

I'm not bashing a Mac. I just think it has a lot to do with what you have and what you're used to using.

24. I'm loyal cuz I worked on OS X for 11 years
Both at NeXT and Apple. The people there really care about putting out a great product (mostly to keep Steve from kicking their ass :P )

13. Are pipes fully implemented on Macs?
It's one of the very nice things about the Unix (shell) CLI.

18. What shell is implemented? C? (I assume so, with BSD.) Bourne? Korn?

I suppose I could try looking it up ... but I'm lazier than usual today, for some reason.

20. No emulation -- it's REAL Unix
Any shell you want runs native: sh, bash, csh, ksh, zsh, tcsh, and so on...

Look up BSD Unix -- the entire package ships native on OS X.

Snowe, Collins, Lugar and Specter are on that list.
Just in case anyone was hoping they would cross the aisle (like me).
Amazing that even as the minority...they are still effecting legislation.
Dems could have done that...if they just stuck together.

11. Norm "The Weasel" Coleman (Tool-MN) seems to have voted for the bill.
Verrrrrry interesting. Normie has also been slithering away from the BushBots on other issues; could it be because he is a total windsock who has a tough election coming up in '08?

Keep it coming. I'm making a list and I'll be watching you, you pitiful excuse for a Senator.

I really dislike him as a Senator, even if he weren't from my state.
