Air America hosts upset over the death of a colleague. |
|
Has anyone been listening all day? Every host, Al Franken, Randy Rhoades and Rachel Maddow, lost their composure when relating the sad news. :-(
She must have been one special human being. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

1. I have heard all three of them. Listening to Rachel cry made me cry. |
|
She is having the hardest time talking about it.
It's so damned sad, what happened to this young woman (as well as to all the young women and men who have been killed over in that hell zone).
My condolences to her family and friends.

She used to work in the PR department at AAR. Left about a year ago to go work with a group in Iraq.

6. I haven't caught up with today's podcasts. Was she in the military? |
|
Doing peace work? How was she at AAR and over in Iraq too?
Everyone needs to leave now and we need the UN to step in. We need to take the American face off of that bad situation. If an org like the UN can step in, maybe all sides can chill for a while.

10. Yes. I heard Al crying. It is very sad. All of the loss . . . . |
|
Makes everyone feel so helpless.
Franken was also very sincere today with T. Oliphant, I think it was, about someone (I forgot whom) who started AA recently.
These are real people.
