King (R-IA) & Pearce (R-NM) on floor now whining on behalf of the oil industry |
|
regarding that bill turning off the subsidy spigot. Anyone else watching this? If so, did you get the impression that they were delivering subtle threats to the American people from the industry about not investing in the US and divesting if we continue to go down the road that, let me see, Chavez (I believe that was one of the examples cited) has gone with the oil industry in his nation? It was a very strange whine.

4. Given that we have no oil wells in Iowa, I'd say that King is bought |
|
and paid for.
It looks as though these three are trying to be the face of the Republican Party. The three faces of Tom Delay reincarnate. Let 'em keep whining and longing for the good old days. They will dig the abyss deeper.
