10. You can check by doing a tracert on DU:

type in a Windows NT/2000/XP command prompt:

tracert democraticunderground.com

Then check the poster above mine, to see if any of the routers your computer uses to get to DU are the ones with problems.

15. Here's what worked for me.
Open the Control Panel, click on Security Center. When it opens there will be a list of options on the left. The last says something like, "change the way security center alerts me". Click on that and un-check all three items. DU doesn't freeze up on me now. It used to do that EVERY SINGLE TIME I got on DU.
