I'm voting for ANY Democrat.
Because ANY Democrat is preferable to anyone from any other party.

Don't like him, but I sure as hell don't want no damn repuke. Not that there's a chance in hell he'd run or even get the nomination, there isn't, but that's what I'd do.

Plus if he did, I have a feeling the party would split. Not quite sure what I'd do.

11. No friggin' way. Not that I think that would EVER happen. |
|
But if it did, the Democratic Party would be dead to me. I would utterly refuse to have anything to do with it. Why would I give any support to an organization that would choose a nasty little Ruling Class sycophant like Lieberman as its leader?

Even though Joe, in this scenario, won the Dem nomination.

17. I see so far there's 41 non-Democrats here |
|
Maybe those 41 are all Freepers, maybe Republics or maybe Greens. In any event, they're all enemies of the Democratic Party.
You see, if my party, the Democratic Party nominates Lieberman then he's the nominee. Anyone voting against and actively works to defeat the Democratic Party nominee is just as much the enemy as is a Republic, or a Green or a Libertarian, whatever. In any event, if you work to defeat our candidate, you're the enemy.

given that Lieberman was the VP nominee in '00. It's not beyond the complete and total realm of possibilities for Lieberman to be the nominee regardless of however unlikely it is.

"wouldn't happen" option. His latest announcement that he would fillibuster with repubs for surge - sorta solidify me belief that the premise (that Lieberman could be the candidate) is absurd. Heck he did terrribly - even when he started out as "the front runner" (name recognition) in the 2004 primaries, was still a democrat, and hadn't seemed to fully jump the ship.

Yellow Dog Democrat. I'd vote for a yellow dog (even Lieberman) if it ran as a Democrat.
But its funny how people talk about "the party" and forget that they ARE the party and they can change anything in the party if they have the votes to do it. So if you don't like something in the party, be it the nominee or policies, get enough votes together and change it, or don't allow it to happen. If you don't have enough votes, you don't have enough votes. You don't pick up all your marbles and whine, "I'm going home!"

27. The Dems that would never vote for |
|
Lieberman and would go Green, etc as an alternative are the same ones who would fight to the death to assure Leiberman would never be in that position. In this context, you really can't denigrate them (us). It was those same Dems that provided an all out ballistic support of Lamont in the primary and did everthing possible to get Lamont the win, against all odds. Point being, you can't judge the loyalty of a Dem based on "Lieberman" who is so extreme a turncoat/nutcase/traitor. That being said, there is really no other Dem potential candidate that most loyal to the party would not be willing to hold our nose for. Loyalty has it's limit and Lieberman would and should be the benchmark for lower than the lowest bar.

34. Only if the Dems do not Impeach Bush and put him on trial |
|
Then I would vote for Lieberman if he ran as an independant on a platform of charging republicans as accessories to War Crimes and crimes against humanity and the dems as accessories after the fact. If the Dems let Bush slide on his crimes. The US Constitution will be a dead letter and we must then live in mortal fear of what the next President thinks he's entitled to get away with. Bush & Cheney's policies go way beyond Bin Laden on the Fear Scale. They are well into the Hitler end of the paradox.

Way I see it, both questions are equal in their premise's legitimacy.
You know damn well there's no way in hell he'd get the nom, so your poll is nothing more than a farcicle attempt at making a point that doesn't actually exist.
