Rep Louise Slaughter gives props to Kos; continues to call Tweety out
Hi y'all. I am down here in Williamsburg, VA attending the 2006 Issues Conference of the House Democratic Caucus. I wanted come on here and urge you guys to not let up on your incredible activism around Chris Matthews. Please keep up the pressure.

I cannot believe he had the audacity to refer Senator Edward Kennedy as "the guy that molested" Justice Samuel A. Alito's wife during Mr. Alito's confirmation hearing. Again, this kind of comment is simply absurd, uncalled for, and harmful to our nation. For someone like Mr. Matthews who is in a position to have an influence on shaping of public opinion, he has a responsibility to treat issues fairly and the public honestly. That is why I have been so disturbed by the recent revelations of a potential connection between MSNBC host Chris Matthews and former GOP super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

This just doesn't sit right with me. And I am now even more troubled about revelations of potential connections between him and convicted felon lobbyist like Jack Abramoff.

3. Chris Matthews has gone off the deep end!
Tonight he was insinuating that the fires in AL were set by gay liberals! Just too much to take! I emailed everyone of his shows advertisers! Am sick of this slander.

4. I think the management of the DU ought to start a policy:
Anyone who mentions, types or even thinks of Tweety Bird Matthews is fined two dollars and prohibited from posting at all for 24 hours.

The guy is an asshole. He won't change. He will be an asshole untill he breathes his last.

I think Tweety is taunting his enemies now. The comments about gay liberals burning the churches in Alabama were over the line, so much so that I think it was a deliberate challange.

All Dems should give up on the sob. Dems wouldn't think of going on ole Flush, or big Pharma, as some know him. Why should anyone they will get fairer treatment for hardcore chimpie ass kisser, Tweety? I heard Bill Clinton, during the '92 campaign, describe a fool as someone who does the same thing over and over, and expects different results each time. Tweety has shown that any thinking person that expects fair and honest news on his show is on a fool's errand.

6. Censorship - NOT the answer.
It isn't about Matthews - it's about liars getting their comupance.

It's about teaching the media and other corrupt organizations that all us people out here who buy products and vote and such want TRUTH not lies on the airwaves and we're going to keep telling them that until they are SO TIRED of hearing it that they give in and give us what we want.

Then we're going to ask for more. Truth and INTELLIGENT discource. Dammit.

If they don't give us what we want we'll do what rethugs do, go to their advertisers and bug the hell out of them until the run sobbing from the room in tears and tell the media to give us what we want.

Then we're going to ask for more. Apologies for 5 years of lies and criminal STUPIDITY.

Got it?

Good.

Don't make me figure out what YOUR chicken is.

5. Good for you!
Like Molly Ivins said, "Only 1 way to cure a chicken killin' hound. Tie a dead chicken around his neck and leave it there til there is nothing left but the stink."

This is Chris Matthew's chicken. If he shakes it off, pick it up and tie it on again.

Make him sleep outside though...

7. That connection between Abramoff, Matthews and Russert is
probably the reason why the latter two has been pushing Abramoff as a bipartisan scandal. I guess those two boys don't like the fact that they got caught with the wrong party when the music stopped.
