Question about NSA spying |
|
When they spy on someone without a warrant, is their ANY kind of a paper trail on what they are doing?
If they have cronies in the NSA they could be listening to anyone and reporting back to the president and no one will know it's being misused. To me, thats the main protection getting a warrant before or after the fact provides.
Is this basically what could happen or is it more complicated than this?
This stuff scares the hell out of me.

1. I dont know and maybe thats the point |

The threat is enough to make one fear being a dissenter. The bushies dont want a paper trail and thats why they dont want warrants.

I always thought about it based on the *principal* that what they were doing was wrong. I never thought about their practical motivation. I just assumed that it was a given that they are spying on people who have nothing to do with terrorism.

A President that is not beholden to the laws of the land is a Dictator & executive power without checks or balance is Fascism.
Apparently half of America is retarded enough to not see a problem with this unchecked power.
